‘Our City’ by Jeanice Lee

Edinburgh’s own Jeanice Lee has released a new song in support of her
former home town of Hong Kong. It really struck a chord with me, partly
because I visited the city earlier this year, but mostly because it’s
exceptionally good.
You can tell it’s not a folky protest song
from the strident electric guitar opening and the big sound captured by
Bryan Ramage (Ramage Productions/Ramage Inc). What follows is 5 minutes
of articulate fire and anger from Jeanice, topped off with a bold
guitar solo and the defiant mantra of ‘Our City is Standing on our
Feet’. It’s powerful stuff and worthy of your attention.
