Divine Red Roses
Divine red roses,
burgundy petals
They draw us in,
it's gracefully brutal
Emerald leaves
and those razor-sharp thorns
They cast a spell
to have our hearts torn
I let a red rose
near my skin too close
Little did I
know, it hurt more than most
But I need to
know, remember how it feels
The spell is
real, for the wounds just don't heal
You wrap roses
around your heart
Those who try to
touch are always cut
Deep enough to
leave scars so bad
The line is blurred
between love and lust
You wrap roses
around your heart
Those who try to
touch are always cut
But you know only
too well that
The scent of
roses will always tempt us
Even the reddest
rose falls to its demise
We all have to
pay, for love has a price
To break the
spell of their true disguise
We are fallen
stars from the darkened sky
So one day your
face and tattoos will fade
Even if I can't
quite bear to erase
Just like the
fate of all those red roses
All love in the
end decomposes
